I started my project by sketching my design on a paper. Then I traced it onto the linoleum block. After that, I cut out the design on my linoleum block with a cutting tool and putting chatter in the background. Then I chose a light blue by mixing dark blue and white. After that, I put the ink on a metal tray and rolled over it with a brayer (roller). Then I stamped the block in the ink and pressed it on the paper. One of the harder parts was getting the stamp to have enough ink to get the design to show. I also number all the prints I did in fractions (1/10, 2/10). But overall I really liked how it looked at the end.
Rachel, I loved your final prints. I saw them in the classroom and thought they were amazing!! Your design was very detailed and I bet you put a lot of work into it. It looks so clean and precise! I also think it's cool that you mixed colors to make the light blue. Awesome job!!
